First of all, NGOs are organizations that address global issues such as poverty, hunger, and the environment on a voluntary, not for-profit basis.

I will now describe the benefits of that organization and its advantages for me personally.

First, An important advantage of NGOs is their focus on promoting gender equality through education. Currently, there are many developing regions and poor families, especially in sub-Saharan and South Asia. In these areas and families, children are forced to work at home instead of attending school in order to secure a workforce.　Women, in particular, are given lower priority to schooling than men because they are prioritized to fetch water and take care of their families. This reason is the cause of the gender gap.In addition, they say that the environment can deprive women of educational opportunities, such as dangerous school corridors and inadequate school facilities and lack of girls’ toilets. Therefore, I think it is a good idea to install many simple toilets and create a system with a larger percentage of women so that even men can take care of their families.

Next, we discuss the personal benefits. Working on your own to solve the problems of an NGO gives you a sense of accomplishment and purpose, knowing that your efforts can help improve the lives of others. You will be exposed to different cultures and perspectives, broaden your horizons, and gain a deeper understanding of global issues. I think it is very important to learn about multiculturalism because the sense of accomplishment will motivate you, and learning about multiculturalism will help you when conversing with people from different countries.

Finally, in order to solve the gender disparity and national problems, it is necessary for each person to cooperate and think individually, and by participating in solving the problems, you can feel a sense of accomplishment, in other words, you can satisfy your own greed and benefit yourself. I think it is very important to participate in NGOs because we can give benefits to each other and also to improve our country.
